Gentlemen:
As we watch the constant updates of the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey safely from our homes I recognize the concern we all share for our Brothers in the Houston Chapter of Pro-Duffers USA.
I have communicated with Joseph Paul and Ralph Kelly via text message and telephone calls over the past few days and report to you that everyone and their families, at this time, are safe. Although everyone survived the weekend with little or no damage, the continuous rain and rising waters has caused at least Ralph to evacuate his home and take temporary shelter with relatives.
The concerns are now the continuous rains and the imminent threat from the planned opening of the dams to mitigate pressure on the levees and inevitable rising waters. It appears the next few days will be a challenge.
I will continue to update the membership as information is received. In the meantime, I trust we all shall keep our Brothers in prayer and be ready to respond if needed.
Sincerely yours,
Kelvin A. Massey, President
Pro-Duffers USA, Inc.
